A letter to Santa Claus

Dear Santa Claus, this time I want no book nor toy-
Don’t question me, Santa, don’t wonder why:
All I want is Mama’s arms when I cry,
Papa’s smile, O Santa, am only a little boy.

Dear Santa, tell me stories till I fall asleep
Take me on your lap, tell me it’s alright,
Sing me lullabies when I wake at night;
Smile and hold me close when I am in slumber deep.

Tell them I will grow with only their memories-
Those who sent Mama and Papa away,
Never to come, though I may cry all day
And no gifts from them under all the Christmas trees...
